چکیده

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex, but relatively common endocrine disorder associated with chronic anovulation, hyperandrogenism, and micro-polycystic ovaries. In addition to reduced fertility, people PCOS have higher risk of obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic disease, all comorbidities that are mitochondrial dysfunction. This review summarizes human animal data report dysfunction dysregulation in better understand how mitochondria impact reproductive organ pathophysiology. in-depth considers the elements regulating quantity quality, from biogenesis under transcriptional regulation both nuclear genome ultrastructural functional complexes regulate cellular metabolism reactive oxygen species production, as well dynamics subcellular interactions key quality control. When any these functions disrupted, energetic equilibrium within cell changes, processes can fail, death occur. If this process ongoing, it affects tissue function, causing disease. The objective consolidate classify broad number studies various organs, including (oocytes granulosa cells), uterus, placenta, circulation, A secondary uncover potential role transgenerational transmission disorders.

New Insights into Pathophysiology of Vestibular Migraine

Vestibular migraine (VM) is a common disorder in which genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors probably contribute to its development. The pathophysiology of VM is unknown; nevertheless in the last few years, several studies are contributing to understand the neurophysiological pathways involved in VM. The current hypotheses are mostly based on the knowledge of migraine itself. The evide...

Insights into Pathophysiology from Medication-induced Tremor

Background Medication-induced tremor (MIT) is common in clinical practice and there are many medications/drugs that can cause or exacerbate tremors. MIT typically occurs by enhancement of physiological tremor (EPT), but not all drugs cause tremor in this way. In this manuscript, we review how some common examples of MIT have informed us about the pathophysiology of tremor. Methods We performe...

NO bioavailability, endothelial dysfunction, and acute renal failure: new insights into pathophysiology.

This brief overview sketches current evidence of imbalance between inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), role of oxidant stress, and generation of peroxynitrite in the pathophysiology of acute ischemic renal injury. The development of endothelial cell dysfunction at early stages of experimental acute renal ischemia is the focus of the review, with ...
